Casino Klondike 1
Also called Vegas Solitaire, this is the casino version of Klondike One. Each game costs $52 and you win $5 for each card placed onto the Foundations (all play money, of course). You start with $1000. Tap on the bank data (between the deck and foundations) reset your bank balance.
– 7 Tableau Stacks 1-7 cards high – build down in opposite colors.
– 4 Foundations – build up from Ace to King in suit.
– The Deck on the left with 1 card turned up.
You begin with a bank balance of $1000 minus the $52 cost for your first game. The running totals are shown in the lower left corner of the screen, with the game balance displayed above your bank balance. Move the cards to the Foundations building up from Ace to King in suit. Each card you place on the Foundations will win you $5.
Cards in the Tableau can be moved to a Foundation or onto another Tableau stack. The Tableau builds down in opposite colors, so a red 4 can go onto a black 5. Only a King can be moved to an empty space.
Tap the Deck to turn up 1 card at a time. These cards can be moved to the Tableau or to the Foundations. Only 1 pass through the deck is allowed.
You will need to place at least 11 cards onto the Foundations to profit. Move all cards to the Foundations to win.
Tips & Strategies:
Casino Klondike 1 is unique because the game keeps score with (pretend) money. Any time you start a game, $52 is subtracted from your bank. As long as you manage to move at least 11 cards to the Foundations, you will break even. It will be extremely helpful if you uncover the face down cards as soon as possible because you never know what useful cards could be hiding underneath. There is only one pass through the deck, so it is important that you make as many moves possible in the Tableau before flipping through the deck. Sometimes it is better to not create an empty space in the Tableau, unless you have a King waiting to take it’s place. If you leave the single card be, you may be presented more options later on in the game.
How the game got it’s name:
Casino Klondike 1 was named after it’s unique way of scoring. This game uses (pretend) money rather than points to keep track of the score. This allows people to experience the same feeling that one would feel in a Casino without taking the chance of losing any real money. The “1” comes from the fact that there is only one pass allowed through the deck, and only one card is turned up at a time from the deck.
