Q: What will happen to my stats if I uninstall/reinstall?

Q: What happened to my game when the app updated?

A: After an update, the app will dispose of the game in progress, and a new game will be started.  The game will not count against you in any way, and it will not affect your statistics.

 

Q: Does this app include regular solitaire?

A: This is the most popular version of solitaire, and it is included under the name “Klondike – Solitaire”.

 

Q: I keep getting an error message when trying to download. What do I do?

A: This is a common problem with the Google Play Store. If you are having trouble downloading our application, follow these troubleshooting steps:

1. Clear the cache and data of both the Google Play Store app and the download manager. Here’s how:

-Visit Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications
-Tab over to All
-Select the Google Play Store app, and then tap “Clear data” and “Clear cache.”
-Select Download Manager, and tap “Clear data” and “Clear cache.”

2. Restart your device, then try downloading the app again.

 

Q: Is this app available for the iphone?

A: Our games are exclusive to Android and not available in the iMarket.

Q: How does this game determine my rating?

A: We use the Elo rating system.  This gives players a rating relative to each other, so you will gain more points when you beat a higher rated player than when you beat a lower rated player. Similarly, your opponent will gain more points from you if you have a higher rating. For more information, follow this link: http://bit.ly/1iI3keM

 

Q: How are the opponents unique?

A: Each opponent has different strategies and goal. The higher level opponents are more likely to knock, whereas the lower levels prefer to play for gin. Higher level opponents rarely pick up cards from the discard pile to avoid revealing their hand. And just like the real-life pros, the highest level opponents keep track of discards to know which cards are still “live”.

 

Q: Do the opponents cheat?

A: Absolutely not! They don’t get better cards, they can not see your hand. How would that be fun for you, our valued customer?

 

Q: How are the cards dealt?

A: Cards are dealt randomly, just as if you were using a real deck.

 

Q: So why am I not winning?

A: Gin Rummy is a complicated game. While easy to learn, it requires a lot of skill and strategy to master. Check out the “Strategy” section under Help for some valuable tips and tricks.

 

Q: Sometimes the opponent knocks right away.

A: In any card game there is also a lot of luck. If you play for a while, you’ll get your share of lucky hands too!

 

Q: Why didn’t my game download?

A: Occasionally there are glitches that interrupt a download and cause it to fail. Usually if you just try again it will work fine. If not, you may want to clear the Market cache by going to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> Market -> Clear Cache AND Force Stop. Then retry the download. If that doesn’t work, please send us an email at support@tesseractmobile.com.
