Agnes Bernauer Solitaire
Agnes Bernauer Solitaire is like a fast friend – both familiar and intriguing from the first time you meet.
Foundations build up in suit. Since a 2 was dealt to the first foundation of this hand, this game’s foundations will start with 2s. Fortunately, there are a couple of them that are available to play up from the tableau.
The tableau is a little like Klondike. It looks like Klondike, except all the cards are face-up. It builds down in opposite colors. And the empty spaces can only be filled with a card that is one rank lower than the foundation card rank. An Ace, in this case. You can then build a King on the Ace and a Queen on the King.
The row of cards between the foundations and tableau is called the reserve. Play these cards wherever you want.
Once all desirable moves have been played, tap the deck to deal out 1 card to each reserve. You will get 2 full deals and 1 partial before running out of cards. Agnes Bernauer solitaire can be a very suspenseful game. The hand demonstrated in this article was a particularly memorable one. The last foundation card didn’t show up until the end.
